Back in May, I penned a piece on the SlutWalk Protests which argued that feminists are playing the victim card when, in fact, law enforcers take sexual harassment very seriously. And in keeping with a sex theme, my piece on the sexualisation of mainstream media, with references to Katie Perry's exhibitionism , polarised opinions amongst spiked readers.
My response to the phone hacking scandal was to note how the Guardian have campaigned previously against other newspapers and companies they morally disapprove of. I called this 'the revenge of the middle classes.' Today, my obituary on kitchen sink novelist Stan Barstow noted how social aspiration had real meaning some 50 years ago.
